The Emergency Nursing Department Director position involves overseeing the operations of the emergency department, managing staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include leading the team, managing departmental budgets, and implementing strategies to improve patient experience and care delivery.
Job Summary:- Directing the daily operations of the ED, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, and implementing strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Managing the departmental budget and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Manages budget, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Leading and mentoring a team of nurses providing opportunities for professional development.
- Responding to emergency situations related to patient and staff safety.
- Collaborating with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Active RN Licensure in the State of Oregon.
- Bachelor's degree (BSN), Masters degree preferred.
- 5-10 years' experience in emergency nursing.
- Minimum 3-5 years' leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills required.
