Summary

The Human Resources Manager oversees and coordinates HR operations, manages staff, and develops a culture that empowers associates to meet company objectives while ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws and policies.

Essential Functions
  • Execute staffing plans and hiring strategies
  • Oversee benefits, leave, workers’ compensation, and employee relations
  • Develop recruiting efforts, training programs, performance management, and benefits initiatives to attract and retain talent
  • Supervise and develop HR staff performance
  • Provide associate relations support, including coaching, corrective actions, disputes, and terminations
  • Conduct investigations and enforce compliance with FLSA, FMLA, OFLA, ADA, and Workers Compensation
  • Manage candidate sourcing for open positions and provide subject‑matter expertise on onboarding and selection
  • Collaborate with operations to deliver effective orientation programs
  • Maintain compliance with all employment law agencies and represent company in labor‑related proceedings
  • Travel (30%) and after‑hours work required
  • Represent the department professionally to internal and external stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to safety procedures
  • Ensure punctuality and attendance per company standards
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of HR management experience; multi‑unit hotel HR experience preferred
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) mandatory
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory record
  • Fluent in English;
    Spanish a plus
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
Physical Description
  • Regular office mobility, including occasional travel to hotel properties
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and drive a vehicle
  • Navigation of diverse terrains—indoor and outdoor—required for property visits
Working Conditions
  • Office environment with intermittent noise from equipment and conversations
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions during property visits
  • Requires reliable transportation for frequent travel
  • Adherence to company safety standards and procedures essential
