Position Overview

Maintenance & Operations Supervisor at the Oregon Military Department located in Springfield, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee Facility Maintenance and Facility Operations Specialists for OMD‑owned facilities and Readiness Centers in Maintenance Regions 4, 5, 6.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance and repair activities in compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and agency policies.
  • Manage project budgets, allocate resources, and prepare status reports for senior leadership.
  • Ensure work is performed safely, following OSHA and OMD safety procedures.
  • Travel extensively within assigned regions and statewide to support National Guard facilities.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of journey‑level experience maintaining and repairing physical plant facilities, buildings, or grounds.
  • Minimum one additional year as a trades or maintenance supervisor.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to use state or military vehicles.
  • License or certification in LME (Lighting Maintenance Engineer) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe applications.

  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to work at heights and lift up to 90 lbs.
  • Knowledge of building operating systems.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions

Exposed to loud noises, heights, and harsh weather. Use of PPE required. Frequent lifting and travel.
