Voith is hiring a 2nd Shift Machinist for on‑site work in the Machining department, offering competitive wages, PTO, and benefits including a 401K plan. The role involves operating manual machines and G-code CNC machines, inspecting parts for specification conformance, and performing related duties. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with manual drills, milling, lathes, and machining materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and cast iron.
Responsibilities- Operate a variety of manual machines and G-code CNC machines
- Inspect and measure parts to determine conformance to specifications using precision measuring equipment
- Perform all inspection functions as required by Work Instructions and notify supervisor of non-conformances
- Carry out all other duties that may be assigned
- Possess good mechanical aptitude
- Must know how to read blueprints
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must have knowledge and experience operating manual drills, manual milling, and manual lathes
- Must be knowledgeable machining any of the following: stainless steel, carbon steels, and/or cast iron
