Position: Material Handler

Danone is looking to hire a Material Handler at its Springfield, Oregon plant to support production by managing inventory and shipping materials. The role includes providing production materials, maintaining FIFO practices, waste organization, and operating powered industrial vehicles.

• Provide all production materials before and during production runs and return unused materials to the proper location following production runs.
• Maintain plant FIFO inventory practices throughout the facility and follow all department and company standards and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure waste and recycling materials (pallets, buckets, barrels, cardboard) are organized and placed in the appropriate location.
• Pre‑stage, stage, and consolidate materials on pallets to meet product and storage needs.
• Operate a variety of powered industrial vehicles in a heavily pedestrian‑trafficked environment, narrow aisles, and hot/cold/wet conditions.
• Load pallets of finished goods onto trailers and unload materials or ingredients from trailers and hot/cold storage areas.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of six months’ experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, or other powered industrial vehicle (PIV).
• Valid company forklift operator certification.
• Training and qualification as a hand packer.
