Maintenance Mechanic

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Mechanic role in Springfield, OR. • Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunction, including visual checks, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled tests.
• Monitor and promptly respond to machinery issues such as performance changes, temperature fluctuations, unusual sounds, or atypical energy usage.
• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, including hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and create/maintain schedules for inspections, service, and testing.
• Identify, repair, and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
• Use power and hand tools safely and effectively to complete maintenance tasks.
• Maintain clean and organized machinery and workspace.
• Read, interpret, and comply with work orders related to service, modification, or installation of machinery.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced and often loud environment.
• Follow and enforce workplace safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience with forklift operation and forklift maintenance.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of walking, standing, and lifting heavy objects for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Competitive hourly wage. $26 hr DOE
