Cover Operator - Day Shift

This job involves operating machinery such as polyurethane machines, rubber extruders, overhead cranes, and forklifts, as well as performing tasks like mixing adhesives, fabricating wooden extensions, and maintaining a clean work area. The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards, flexibility to work overtime, and a willingness to learn new operational tasks.

• Operation of Polyurethane Machine, Rubber Extruder and all other supporting equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Operation of precision bed during polyurethane application and epoxy base winding.
• Fabricating and attaching wooden end extensions to roll core.
• Mixing adhesives and cements.
• Responsible for housekeeping in work area.
• Perform job functions in a manner that promotes Quality per Voith Standards.
• Perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be willing to work overtime when required.
• Must be willing to learn and perform other tasks of operation as required.
• Shift work may be required.
• All other duties that may be assigned.

• A minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous roll covering, welding, or lathe/machining experience is a plus.
• Display a good attitude conductive to a shop environment.
• Must work well with others as a team.
• Must be familiar with standard weights and measures.
• Must handle chemicals in a safe and systematic manner.
