Registered Nurse - Medical Care Unit - PT Nights

Hourly Base Rate: $46.67- $75.94

Shift: Night Shift
Hours Per Week: 24 hours/week, 12-hour shifts

The Medical Care Unit registered nurse (RN) provides care to patients on a general medical unit, assessing their health needs, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Regularly evaluating patients' conditions by taking vital signs, monitoring symptoms, and performing physical assessments.

Creating individualized care plans based on patient needs, including medication administration, wound care, and activity levels.

Accurately preparing and administering medications as prescribed by physician.

Cleaning and dressing wounds as needed.

Initiating and maintaining intravenous fluids.

Informing patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices.

Collaborating with other healthcare team members like doctors, physical therapists, and social workers to ensure coordinated care.

Responding promptly to medical emergencies and initiating appropriate interventions.

Qualifications:

Current licensure as an RN, State of Oregon.

Current BLS.

Two years acute care experience preferred.
