REGISTERED NURSE - NEURO TRAUMA INTENSIVE CARE UNIT - NIGHTS - Full-Time

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
• Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
• Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program.
• Management of ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP.
• Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH, non-traumatic SAH, seizures.
• Nursing care of patients post tPA, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, carotid artery stenting and intra-cranial stenting.
• Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents. Completion of complex neurological assessments / scales
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

• Minimum of six months critical care RN experience in an acute care facility within the last five years required, or successful completion of an approved critical care training course / orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
• Preferred :
  Minimum of one year RN experience in an Intensive Care unit specializing in Cardiac, Neuro or Trauma

• Required :
  State of Oregon Nursing License
• Required : BLS at date of hire
• Required : ACLS required within a grace period according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy.
• Required : NIHSS and TNCC required within 12 months of hire / transfer date.
• Preferred : CCRN and CMC

$47.40 - $74.48 / hour
