- Role: Part-time Night shift RN position – Cardiac Surgery unit
- Schedule: .6 FTE working four 12-hour Night shifts every two weeks
- Unit: 36-bed inpatient cardiac surgery unit
- Hospital: Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend - 350 bed acute care medical center with level II trauma center, STEMI Center and Stroke Center
Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend is situated along the Mckenzie River in Springfield, Oregon. - A current wage range of $50.78 – $79.78, rate of pay is dependent upon RN experience and terms of the Oregon Nurses Association union contract.

Provide care of post cardiac surgery patients. Nursing care of stroke patients with cardiac co-morbidity, 8-24 hours post tPA or thrombectomy or more frequent monitoring than can be provided on the floor. Care of patients post Carotid Artery Stenting, and coiling of non-ruptured aneurysms. Performance of NIHSS, nursing bedside swallow screen.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program.
- Perform stroke patient education utilizing health literacy education principles. Familiar with stroke guideline driven stroke discharge medications
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Requires: 1-year RN experience in an acute care hospital with cardiac nursing experience preferred
