American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring recent Level II trauma center experience and prior travel experience.

• Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department treating a combined adult/pediatric population
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Evening shift schedule of 3x12 hours )
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required, though occasional float to University District may occur
• Common diagnoses include trauma, chest pain, STEMI, abdominal pain, COPD exacerbation, UTI, stroke, sepsis, and orthopedic injuries
• Epic charting system used

• Active or pending Oregon RN license required
• Active or pending Washington RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience within the past 5 years required
• Recent Level II trauma center experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, unless candidate has 5+ years of experience or has worked at multiple facilities and meets all skill requirements
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• 1 year of Epic experience preferred
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
• Facility is a nonprofit, Level II Trauma Center with 385 staffed beds
• Scrubs of any color are accepted
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers may be considered, but prior travel experience is preferred
• Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous Peace Health employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if licensure is still in process at time of offer
