Utility Operator- Operator III-2nd Shift

HOURLY POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:

Plant Assembly Utility

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs all duties on the assembly lines and/or operating a Powered Industrial Truck to provide plant wide support when needed

* Tests and repairs ranges appliances

* Trains new associates on job tasks and assists in follow-up of quality issues

* Troubleshoots functional defects

* Repair workmanship errors

* Will cover absenteeism or other reasons in the plant

* May perform other job duties as needed such as insulation wrapper

QUALIFICATIONS AND

BASIC SKILLS:

* High School Diploma or GED

* 1+ years experience testing, repairing, and troubleshooting appliances or mechanical system

* 1+ years experience with assisting with quality issue resolution and process improvements

* Must achieve Powered Industrial Lift Truck certification within 6 months of hire

* Must achieve EMS Yellow Gear Certification within 30 days of hire and EMS Green Gear Certification within 12 months

* Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis

* Able to stand for the majority of the shift
