Join Pet Vet Care Centers as a Part‑time Veterinarian at our full service hospital in Springfield, Tennessee
, just outside Nashville. We have a welcoming team with veterinarians ranging from 7 to 38 years of experience. Newer veterinarians receive dedicated mentorship while seasoned clinicians are encouraged to apply.

Competencies- Clinical Knowledge and
Skills:
Demonstrate skill in examining and assessing animals, performing cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological and other examinations, and prescribing appropriate treatment. - Problem‑Solving:
Develop solutions to challenges related to the management of a high‑quality veterinary hospital. - Communication
Skills:
Communicate diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and collaborate with internal medical and hospital staff. - Professionalism:
Provide and receive constructive criticism and feedback within a high‑quality, professional team. - Business Acumen:
Understand the management and finances of the veterinary hospital practice. - Ethics:
Apply ethical principles that guide patient‑related decisions. - Commitment to Continuing
Education:
Utilize available resources and facilitate learning for others.
- Veterinary Doctor (DVM) from an accredited college or university.
- Current State Veterinary License.
- DEA registration maintained.
- Experience overseeing Veterinary Technicians, Assistants, and other staff.
- Demonstrated desire to continue learning and participate in staff training.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with all medical and hospital staff.
- Client communication skills—eliciting information, establishing rapport, explaining care to pet owners.
- Confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain.
- Physical tasks: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
