Join the Kroger Mountain View Foods team as a Pharmacy Technician. Provide exceptional customer service, direct patient intervention, and uphold Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity.
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and health code guidelines; identify unsafe conditions.
- Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
- Utilize computerized inventory management and control for medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and customer waiting areas.
- Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices.
- Complete billing procedures to assure best value to the customer and the company.
- Answer phone, triage calls, and respond to inquiries as appropriate.
- Follow vendor coupon guidelines, cash shortage limits, and company shrink guidelines.
- Operate the cash register, handle cashier policies, and tender electronic fund transactions (Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, Gift Cards, cash, check).
- Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
- Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
- Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, cooperative manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Meets minimum state requirements related to the position.
- Previous comparable experience.
- Equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk.
- Familiarity with EPRN.
