Systems Engineer - Senior

Assured Consulting Solutions

Position status:
Active/funded and contingent on customer acceptance.

Location:

Springfield, Virginia or Chantilly, VA (on site).

Clearance required:

Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency, and must pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Responsibilities
  • Guide mid‑level and junior‑level system engineers through requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the National System of Geospatial‑intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial‑intelligence (ASG), and federal agencies.
  • Guide planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architecture traceability, procedures, and problem automation or improvement of existing systems; review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
  • Guide the development of solution designs based on requirements analysis and new technology.
  • Assist the Government in translating mission and customer needs into system/capability requirements and solutions.
  • Support analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and program execution.
  • Perform systems integration activities.
  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.
  • Assist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
  • Operate at the level of integrating multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within major system acquisitions across organizational and agency boundaries.
Required Qualifications
  • Senior‑level or higher experience in government or industry in areas such as DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service‑Oriented Architecture environments in cloud, on‑premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and understanding of the systems engineering life cycle.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific field.
  • Working knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering processes, tools, and languages.
  • Working knowledge of Digital Engineering processes and tools.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
  • Documented work experience in geospatial intelligence.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, GIS, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
  • Previous experience with NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs/project work.
  • Previous experience with IC or DoD program/project work.
