OverviewWe are seeking a Deployment Network Specialist to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio‑visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets.

Responsibilities- Support the O&M Network Engineer in pre‑installation, on‑site deployment, and go‑live testing.
- Prepare and perform on‑site network surveys at customer sites.
- Participate in infrastructure configuration and testing activities prior to deployment and conduct hands‑on implementation at customer sites.
- Document and revise each deployment and provide feedback to the O&M Network Engineer for future improvements.
- Work 100% on‑site at customer facilities; no teleworking.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex technical concepts to non‑technical team members.
- Quick to learn new technologies and follow processes and standard operating procedures.
- Deploy network equipment and technology, with working knowledge of network devices, configuration, and command‑line interfaces.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, performing root‑cause analysis at all network layers.
- Experience with cloud provider environments such as AWS and Azure; IL‑2 or higher experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of WAN technology and troubleshooting various communication circuit types.
- Understanding of layer 1 technologies and their capabilities and limitations, including cable management, cable types, media converters, and circuit components (CPE, Telco, Demark).
- Experience creating network diagrams, rack elevations, and cable drawings.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and manage network security based on DoD security policy and guidelines across a multi‑enclave environment.
- Installation experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and security and encryption appliances.
- Understanding of networking protocols and technologies (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, MPLS, QoS).
- Experience with Juniper, HPE, and JUNOS is a plus.
Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information.
Top Secret with SCI eligibility required.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and 7+ years working experience in a network administration role, or 12+ years of network administration experience.
- Strong communication skills and ticketing experience.
- DoD Manual 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Certificate, Intermediate level Network Operations Specialist, DCWF Code 441.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for international travel.
