Counter Drone Technical Lead

Position supervises a team of nine Counter Drone technical experts and provides task coordination, technical oversight, quality control and reporting program. Serves as the primary contractor technical point of contact and assists with hands-on support as required.

This is an onsite position at TSA HQ in Springfield, VA with core working hours of 8am - 4pm.

Positions responsibilities include:

Supervising CUAS Technical Experts and coordinating their daily activities.

Transitioning Government requirements and priorities into contract work assignments.

Serving as the primary contractor contact point to Government Technical Lead.

Coordinating nationwide deployments from the National Capital Region.

Providing technical oversight for deployment, set up, configuration, operation and maintenance, troubleshooting, and recovery of drone operations.

Assigning tasks, managing schedules and coordination staffing for planned deployments and recurring support requirements.

Overseeing pre-deployment testing, system calibration, operational checks and readiness verification.

Overseeing post
-deployment equipment recovery, inspection, inventory, accountability and maintenace.

Perfioming contractor readiness for fixed site, mobile and portable drone operations.

Coordinating technical support across multiple manufacturers, platforms, configurations, and vendor neutral rdone technologies.

Operating CUAS detection and authorized mitigation equipment under required Government direction or oversight.

Overseeing drone data portals, Team Awareness Kit (TAK) and other Government-approved integration and situational awareness tools.

Reviewing technical documentation, maintenance records, system-status reports, issue- logs, and after-action products for accuracy and completeness.

Performing Quality control for contractor technical work and deliverables.

Tracking technical issues, corrective actions, equipment status, and operational readiness.

Coordinating technical issues with Government personnel, manufacturers, vendors and other authorized stakeholders.

Monitoring contractor compliance with Government
-approved operating procedures and technical requirements.

Ensuring contractor personnel comply with applicable cybersecurity, spectrum management, privacy, evidence and data handling, safety, and configuration-control requirements.

Supporting contractor personnel performance management and identifying staffing, qualification, and readiness concerns.

Providing management - level technical status, risk, readiness and situational- awareness reporting.

Assisting with hands-on drone setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and recovery, when required.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant CUAS technical or operational experience.

Demonstrated experience supervising or leading technical or leading technical personnel, coordinating operational support, assigning work and performing quality control.

Demonstrated experience with the deployment, setup, configuration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and recovery of technical equipment and systems.
