Registered Nurse Manager
Springfield, VA
Pay:
From $55 per hour
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, internet, and web applications.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse on a nursing unit (skilled nursing, long term care, assisted living, or hospital).
- CPR certification.
- Experience overseeing clinical staff.
- Experience auditing charts.
- Responsible for the oversight and clinical outcomes of the neighborhood assigned.
- Coordinates, implements, and oversees clinical care of guests/residents in skilled nursing/long term care neighborhood.
- Responds in a timely fashion to resident and/or family requests with the intent on a resolution that meets the needs of the individual resident and family.
- Works cooperatively and collaboratively with other department directors to ensure residents' care needs are met.
- Effectively implements the Person-Centered Approach care model, focusing on the resident's preferences, routines, and strengths.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident clinical conditions.
- Collaborates with neighborhood staff to resolve problems responsibly and facilitates decision-making at the level closest to the resident.
- Provides ongoing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Charge Nurses, Licensed Nurses, and Care Associates on the neighborhoods.
- Monitors clinical documentation care plans, incident reporting, and charting requirements to meet nursing standards of practice.
- Provides leadership and guidance during annual survey/complaint investigations as well as other regulatory audits/reviews.
- Utilizes the Electronic Medical Record to document according to nursing standards for wounds, falls, incident reports, assessments, clinical notes, medication/treatment administration record, etc.
- Participates in clinical leadership meetings (daily clinical operations meeting, High Risk Rounds, Care Plan Conference, Utilization Review - SN only, etc.) and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Committee/work groups.
- May be asked to provide support during emergency situations/inclement weather.
- Other duties as assigned.
