Medical Assistant 2 – Family Medicine

Join Inova Health as a full‑time Medical Assistant 2 in our Family Medicine practice in Springfield, VA.

• Perform general patient care tasks including vital signs, patient flow organization, specimen collection, phlebotomy, injection administration, and physician/nurse assistance.
• Assist patients with walking, specimen collection, and pre‑visiting planning as indicated by the physician.
• Manage clerical duties such as receiving and sending medical records, lab and imaging reports, and completing requisitions.
• Maintain clean and well‑stocked exam rooms, dispose of expired medications, and ensure equipment functions properly.
• Communicate patient and staff issues to the practice manager in a timely manner and participate in clinic huddles and quality improvement initiatives.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

• Full‑time schedule.
• High School diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of clinical practice experience.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) and Certified Medical Assistant certifications upon start.
