Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technologist - MFM - PRN

Med Star Health is looking for a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Med Star Georgetown University Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The Ultrasound Technologist performs, under routine supervision, Ob/Gyn sonograms, biophysical profiles, non-stresstestsand AFI's.Assists with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures.

• Performs sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth assessment, and color doppler studies. Performs ultrasound examsutilizingdifferent scanning modalities as required by the patient's condition and/or examination requested.
• Evaluates images for quality. Photographs appropriate images utilizing multiformat cameras. May access, manipulate, store, and print M.I. digital images. Reviews processed images with physicians.
• Enters data to generate sonographic report. Works with physicians, nursingstaffand schedulers to ensure patients are seen promptly.
• Mayassistin training and education of patients, employees, physicians,students and/or other healthcare professionals.
• Cleans andsterilizesequipment and procedure table before and after each procedure. Maybe responsible fororassistincontrolinventory and purchasing of supplies for assigned area.

• High School Diploma/GED or Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound.
• 1-2 years in OB/GYN ultrasound.
• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) registered or successful completion of certification within 180 Days.
