Meta Phase is seeking an experienced Cloud / Technical Architect to lead technical strategy, solution design, and modernization efforts in support of complex government cloud environments. This role is responsible for designing secure, scalable, and cost‑effective cloud architectures—on AWS, Azure, or hybrid platforms—and driving migrations and implementations that support mission‑critical systems and applications.

• Architect cloud‑native and hybrid infrastructure solutions to meet mission, performance, availability, and cost goals.
• Lead cloud migrations and modernization projects from on‑premises environments to AWS or Azure.
• Design for high availability, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, and zero trust architectures, and open architecture standards.
• Recommend and implement best‑fit services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) based on workload needs and federal compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure FedRAMP, FISMA, and agency‑specific standards are met.
• Develop architectural artifacts including system designs, technical diagrams, and implementation roadmaps.
• Integrate Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, configuration, and monitoring.
• Guide technical teams on best practices for cloud governance, access control, and tagging strategies.
• Serve as a cloud subject matter expert to advise government stakeholders and internal teams on innovation opportunities and optimization.

• 8+ years of experience in cloud implementation, architecture, and operations.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting government IT cloud environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or both, with a solid understanding of VPCs, IAM, storage, networking, and automation.
• Experience leading cloud migration or modernization projects.
• Ability to balance performance, security, and cost across multi‑tier architectures.
• Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery and continuity strategies.
• Strong understanding of federal compliance and cloud security frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53).
• Skilled communicator with the ability to develop executive briefings and technical documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Information Technology or a related field.
• U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS). Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and secure cloud interconnectivity.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Bicep).
• Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  pipelines and containerized deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working with federal cloud enclaves or environments under continuous monitoring.
• Experience working within DHS, TSA, or USCIS.

• Hybrid - Based in Springfield, VA. Occasional travel may be required.
