Principal Dev Ops Engineer

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code
• Lead and architect scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions across multiple cloud environments
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for complex microservices architectures
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications while ensuring operational excellence and reliability
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for production systemsli>
• Drive security-first infrastructure design and implementation
• Mentor team members on Dev Ops best practices and cloud-native technologies

• TS/SCI with CI Poly portion required with current Customer eligibility to include: SBU, SIPR, JWICS, COE & Privileged User Accounts (requiring DoD 8140 Compliance)
• IC Green Badge Required = YES
• Candidate must be actively cleared with the Springfield, VA customer.
• Must be willing to work in SCIF daily or as needed, and participate in on‑call rotation for production support as needed
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a significant Dev Ops focus
• 5+ years of experience with bash>5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, etc)
• 5+ years experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-native technologies and AWS services (ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Sage Maker, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB)
• 3+ years of experience with IAM policies, security groups, and network security
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or Cloud Formation)
• 3+ years of experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) and container orchestration
• 3+ years of experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
• Proven track record implementing security controls and compliance requirements (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP)
• 3+ years of experience with secrets management and security automation
• Background in security scanning tools and Dev Sec Ops  practices (Sonar Qube, Snyk, etc)
• Dev Ops:
  Monitoring (Cloud Watch, Prometheus, etc), logging, and alerting

• 3+ years of experience with disaster recovery
• 2+ years in Type Script, Python (Or OOP), writing and reviewing code for enterprise-scale applications
• Container security and runtime protection knowledge
• Security compliance automation and continuous monitoring
• Database administration and optimization (RDS, Dynamo

• Serverless architecture expertise (Lambda, API Gateway, etc)
• Background in full-stack web development (React, Node.js)
• Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
• System design experience with a focus on scalability and reliability
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements

• CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor's Degree + 8 years
