Global Security Operations Center Analyst
Our client is a leader in the utility and critical infrastructure sector in the Washington, DC area. They are standing up a new Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and are seeking an experienced analyst to help build and shape this function from the ground up. This is an exciting long‑term opportunity for a hands‑on security professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys designing processes from scratch, and wants to make a lasting impact on organizational resilience, incident readiness, and stakeholder safety.
The role is based in Springfield, VA with a hybrid schedule (four days onsite, one day remote). Please note, in accordance with our client contract, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders.
- Design, implement, and optimize GSOC workflows, playbooks, and escalation paths.
- Monitor global threats, security alerts, and high-risk incidents impacting personnel, assets, or operations.
- Utilize Everbridge to manage critical event notifications, dashboards, and workflows.
- Conduct analysis using OSINT and other intelligence tools to inform response actions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, leadership, and external partners during incidents.
- Prepare concise, executive‑ready reports and briefings.
- Support threat detection, incident escalation, and operational continuity during critical events.
- 5–10 years of experience in GSOC operations, corporate security, or intelligence analysis.
- Expertise in Everbridge Critical Event Management (alerting, workflows, dashboards).
- Knowledge of physical security, crisis management, and emergency response.
- Experience with real‑time threat monitoring and OSINT tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for executive audiences.
- Familiarity with security technologies (CCTV, access control, IDS, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, or related field (military or law enforcement experience may substitute).
- Certifications in any of the following are a plus:
- Everbridge Administrator/Specialist
- Crisis/Emergency Management (FEMA ICs, CEM)
- OSINT/Intelligence Analysis (SANS, McAfee, etc.)
- The compensation for this role as a consultant starts at $65+/hour, based on experience and qualifications. This rate is subject to change.
