Overview
GEOINT Imagery Standards Developer Mid-Level (#2040) – Springfield, VA. Compass, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to provide operational services to the Intelligence Community. The role supports mission critical activities and offers professional IT certification training opportunities through Compass.
Responsibilities- Provide specialized advice and assistance on complex technical projects. Independently perform a variety of system analysis, design and/or engineering tasks that are broad and innovative in nature. Participate in national level steering and advisory groups, panels, and committees. Advise/mentor technical personnel at all levels and review work for technical accuracy. Guide the strategic growth of scientific imagery programs.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the development of Still and/or Motion Imagery Standards to facilitate compliance and interoperability by integrating NSG & ASG requirements while reducing technical and schedule risk in the following areas:
- Still imagery standards (NITF, NITF Extensions such as MIE4
NITF, SIDD, SICD; NATO Imagery STANAGs) - Motion imagery standards and phenomenologies (EO, LVMI/WAMI, IR, MSI, HSI)
- Ensure current and future GEOINT standards satisfy capability requirements at program and strategic levels across NGA, NSG, and ASG.
- Develop capability-based standards profiles and reference architectures to enable search, discovery, access, retrieval, integrated intelligence, and advanced analytics.
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to develop and use complex concepts and processes
- Conduct root cause problem analysis
- Guide and support junior-level personnel

Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree plus 4 years of experience, or a minimum of 6 years of experience in a relevant field.
