Peraton is seeking a Senior AWS Dev Sec Ops  Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating security practices into the Dev Ops processes within an AWS environment. This role involves ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure while automating security controls, managing cloud environments, and implementing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years' experience or Associate's degree and 14 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years' experience
• U.S. Citizenship required;
  Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
• Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS).
• Experience with security tools and practices such as vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, and penetration testing.
• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles.
• Ability to define requirements, specify architectures, complete detailed designs, and oversee implementations.
• Proven technical skills and a strong understanding of cutting‑edge cloud solutions and architectures.

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Possess an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 certification or the ability to obtain within the first 90 days

• AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer - Professional
• AWS Administrator Associate
• Experience developing Bash/Python scripts and templates necessary for resource provisioning to occur automatically.
• Experience with web development frameworks, database technologies, web services, and/or web application servers.
• Discovering and implementing industry‑standard cloud service offers, as well as processes and standards that ensure the most efficient use of cloud service provider products.
• Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action and an ability to find innovative ways to solve problems.

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
