CSCI, a trusted classified environment partner for over 30 years, is seeking a Full‑Time Intermediate Systems Administrator with 3‑5 years of experience. Our Technical Solutions Group (TSG) comprises approximately 32 team members who support client needs on site, on the road, and from remote locations, providing services in information technology systems integration & engineering, software application development, and cybersecurity analysis.
The successful candidate will administrate, engineer, test, and document complex information systems. The role requires experience with industry‑standard frameworks, computer networking, Linux systems, wireless technologies, and system and device security. Candidates must be able to learn and apply advanced system administration techniques, including deploying proprietary software in a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environment.
This position requires presence in a professional office setting in Springfield, VA, and on‑site support for evening testing and demonstration activities. The candidate will be willing to work a flexible 40‑hour week, including day and evening shifts, with occasional travel.
Responsibilities- Learn and explore the product’s functionality to streamline daily administration of Linux, Windows, Git Lab, and Office 365 environments.
- Troubleshoot end‑user hardware/software/network issues and manage small‑network infrastructure, including switches, IP cameras, and network drives.
- Collaborate with product team members to document IP schemas, integrate tactical networks into enterprise systems, and provide content for standard operating procedures.
- Provide device, system, and network maintenance for both project systems and internal corporate infrastructure.
- Learn CSCI’s proprietary image enhancement software to optimize technical systems administration and networking support.
- Support technical writers by providing information on the standard operating procedures for troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and systems.
- Deploy to local customer sites to provide technical support for site surveys, system configuration, troubleshooting, and similar Field Service Representative duties as required.
- US Citizenship required.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
- 3‑5 years in systems administration.
- Clearance at Secret security level.
- Practical working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with network configuration, management, and optimization via Linux Network Manager CLI (nmcli) / Netplan.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Deployment of proprietary applications via Terraform, Git Lab, and Ansible.
- Zero Trust environments.
- CompTIA Network+ or similar industry certification.
- CompTIA A+ or similar industry certification.
Minimum local travel; occasional long‑distance travel may be required.

CompensationCompensation is determined by education, certifications, experience, location, and clearance level. The projected compensation range is $73,000 – $85,000 / Yr. Monetary compensation is just one component of CSCI’s total compensation package.
