Regional Veterinary Referral Center - Emergency/Critical Care Department – Licensed Veterinary Technicians / Highly Skilled Veterinary Assistant

Shifts Available: Overnight shifts; open to full-time and part-time.
Purrfect Candidate: Candidates with LVT or LVT-VTS credentials or students in veterinary technician school, with 1+ years of experience in urgent, emergency, or critical care.
Responsibilities:
- Work with or around sick animals, hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
- Perform diagnostics such as phlebotomy, cystocentesis, in‑house laboratory testing (CBCs, blood chemistries, urinalysis, SNAP tests, blood typing, cross‑matching), blood pressures, radiographs; take vitals and perform medical math.
- Include lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Maintain medical records by documenting patients’ conditions, reactions, and changes; update the database accurately and timely.
- Maintain equipment following operating instructions, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and requesting repairs.
- Use critical thinking to work positively as a team player, staying calm and professional while solving problems.
- Exhibit excellent customer‑service skills when engaging with clientele.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Hospital Manager, or Medical Director.
Compensation: Pay aligns with credentials, experience, shift commitment, and work ethic, plus a sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates.
