Overview

Join Cook role at Island Hospitality Management
. Bring culinary skills to dazzle guests with quality presentation, preparation, and cooking.

• Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel.
• Ensure the kitchen remains well-stocked at all times.
• Receive food and beverage orders as needed.
• Follow provided brand and IHM recipes when cooking food to serve guests.
• Prepare and plate all food items on the menu.
• Use hot food preparation machines such as ovens, stoves, and microwaves to cook or heat food.
• Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after each service.

• Ability to follow brand and IHM SOPs to prepare food and beverage items.
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
• Effective in handling problems in the workplace, anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Ability to work well in stressful situations.
• Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment.

Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds. Work hours variable based on guest occupancy and staffing.
