Counter Sales Associate

Aireco Supply, Inc is a leading distributor of HVAC/R equipment, components and supplies serving Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia and Delaware. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the counter sales team in our Springfield, VA branch location. The Counter Sales Associate will be responsible for selling to contractors alongside experienced HVAC customer service personnel. Aireco is searching for a candidate who is a team player with a passion for customer service, commitment to driving sales and reaching branch goals.

Job Functions:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions such as providing pricing, quotes, processing orders and managing returns.
• Generate new and repeat sales by educating customers about products.
• Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability.
• Support and maintain branch appearance, assisting with stocking shelves and merchandising.
• Provide excellent customer service at the counter while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Assist customers with their HVAC parts and equipment needs both in person or via telephone.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on internal and external customers.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Work in a team environment, supporting multiple product lines.
• Ability to provide quality customer service.
• Knowledgeable in HVAC products or other trade products.
• Basic computer fluency and comfort with the ability to quickly gain necessary skills.
• Ability to utilize computer to reference parts.
• Demonstrate basic mathematical aptitude and function.
• Strong interpersonal skills in sales and problem solving.
• Positive attitude towards learning.
• Participate in trainings to maintain and grow knowledge of products and skills.
• Perform all other associated duties as assigned by leadership team.

Requirements:

• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new operational procedures.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems is helpful but not required.
• Counter or outside sales experience preferred.
