Location: Springfield, VA. This part‑time role allows you to build a flexible schedule using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol designated media and technology locations, helping to deter security‑related incidents through your visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining strong communication.

Tuesday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Wednesday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Thursday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

• Provide customer service by following security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with entry control to designated areas within the location, helping to maintain a controlled environment.
• Document and report any suspicious activities, incidents, or security‑related breaches according to company protocols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security‑related issues and support operational needs in a media and technology environment.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to situations that may require the use of armed response, following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
