A leading fleet maintenance company in the US, Amerit Fleet Solutions is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Technician in Springfield, VA. The position involves the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy‑duty fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations.
CompensationCompetitive hourly pay – $34 to $44 depending on experience. Paid weekly, every Friday.
ShiftMonday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty trucks (diesel, gas, or electric hybrid)
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Inspect and perform work on underparts of vehicles
- Move parts to and from the job site and install or remove these parts on vehicles
- Interact with clients via email and phone as necessary
- Perform other duties as required
- At least 5 years of experience performing vehicle maintenance or a diploma in auto or diesel technology from an accredited technical school
- Commercial Driver’s License class "A" or "B" preferred
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine proper operation
- Must provide own hand tools and toolbox
- Knowledge of hand-held scan tools and vehicle diagnostic processes
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, fleet management systems, and email
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and interaction with peers and supervisors
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing duties
- Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
- Access to any area of equipment or vehicle for necessary maintenance
- Ability to move and position heavy objects
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
