Boys Head Volleyball Coach, Academy

Overview

The St. James Performance Academy is seeking a Boys Head Volleyball Coach to lead our elite Academy volleyball team. This role is responsible for the overall development, training, and competitive success of high-performance athletes at TSJ PA.

• Lead all aspects of the Academy volleyball program, including year-round training and competitive schedules.
• Develop individualized athlete development plans, including technical, tactical, physical, and mental preparation.
• Facilitate college recruiting and advancement through strong national volleyball network connections.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor coaching staff to ensure consistent training standards.
• Represent The St. James professionally within the volleyball community.

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years coaching/program leadership experience (3+ at Head or senior level)
• Proven track record of athlete development and college-level placements
• Advanced knowledge of volleyball techniques, systems, and competitive pathways
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed

• Must be able to stand, walk, and demonstrate volleyball skills for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry training equipment (up to 50 lbs)
• Participate in drills, conditioning, and on-court demonstrations

• Must successfully complete a background check
• Valid USAV/USA Volleyball or other relevant coaching certifications preferred
