RNDC is looking for energetic Delivery Drivers that possess a valid State driver's license. As a member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the products we sell are delivered on time, and orders are filled accurately. We ensure that you have the training and support you need to make a meaningful difference. Drivers are responsible for making deliveries and providing best‑in‑class customer service to an established set of customers including grocery stores, liquor stores, hotels, bars, restaurants, convenience stores, and other venues.
Responsibilities- Accurately deliver all products by bottle, case, or pallet from the delivery truck to the customer's account by hand truck.
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle and properly conduct a pre‑ and post‑trip inspection, noting any vehicle defects.
- Make an average of 20 timely deliveries a day; may deliver to more accounts during high‑volume seasons.
- Verify receipt of the correct order with the customer by checking product against invoice, obtain the customer's signature, and collect payment if necessary for goods received.
- Ensure physical security of the truck at all times.
- Provide regular feedback to management regarding route changes, concerns, or areas of opportunity.
- Abide by the DOT hours‑of‑service rules and regulations for the driver's license type.
- May utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours‑of‑service software, point of delivery invoicing, and/or driver monitoring programs.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; two years of delivery experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
- Current state driver’s license; ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Valid DOT medical certification card and filing with the state Motor Vehicle Department.
- Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) license, as required by the state.
