Job Summary

This position is responsible for interacting with customers and team members, supporting selling initiatives, and performing assigned tasks while providing legendary customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
As a Team Member, you must be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, capable of fulfilling the following requirements:

Required Qualifications

Experience:

No experience required; retail and/or pet/live animal knowledge preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities

• Pet/live animal and pet product knowledge
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ethical issue resolution

Working Conditions

• Indoor environment with moderate noise
• Hard surface floors, adequate lighting and temperature
• Shifts generally no less than 4 hours, may exceed 8 hours
• Promote safety and adhere to safety guidelines

Physical Requirements

• Non-sedentary role; must be able to move throughout the store and outdoors
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Occasional lifting or reaching overhead
• Frequently stand, kneel, crouch, squat, bend, and climb ladders
• Ability to move merchandise and live animals up to 50 pounds
• Complete training and certification
