Job Overview
Join Smith's Food & Drug Centers as a Pharmacy / Certified Technician. Provide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, maintaining a safe, clean, inclusive environment, and ensuring the right products and care are delivered at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, you will support direct patient interventions and uphold the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities- Assist pharmacist in all duties except those requiring professional judgment.
- Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
- Support the coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
- Compound medications in accordance with state and other regulations.
- Perform post‑fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
- Support non‑dispensing services using various platforms, resources, and applications.
- Complete all aspects of CLIA‑waived screenings consistent with state and federal law and company policies.
- Provide health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies.
- Comply with sanitation and safety regulations, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
- Report illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.
- Previous comparable experience.
- Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license.
- Provide any additional health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies.
