Job Overview

Join Smith's Food & Drug Centers as a Pharmacy / Certified Technician. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, you will support direct patient interventions and uphold the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Assist pharmacist in all duties except those requiring professional judgment.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support the coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications in accordance with state and other regulations.
• Perform post‑fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non‑dispensing services using various platforms, resources, and applications.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA‑waived screenings consistent with state and federal law and company policies.
• Provide health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Report illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.

• Previous comparable experience.
• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician.

• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license.
• Provide any additional health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies.
