Overview

Manufacturing Co-Op (Production Operations) — If you're an undergraduate student eager to make an impact at scale, Nestlé USA invites you to explore our Manufacturing Co-op Program. This development experience provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience while pursuing your degree and deepen your understanding of manufacturing at Nestlé USA.

Whether you are joining the program as a junior or senior, you will receive an introduction to the world of Nestlé USA and the various departments working in collaboration to make our products. You will experience a breadth of work assignments within your area of expertise as you progress through the program.

Your primary responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Co-op, you will learn, grow, and deliver results for Nestlé USA through key projects, systems, and people. Project assignments may provide opportunities to demonstrate initiative, work cross-functionally, and gain knowledge and skills by recommending actions that focus on cost savings or operational efficiencies. Each Co-op is expected to complete a value-added project within the program timeframe.

Sample projects
  • Quality or other process improvement projects using basic problem solving or statistical analysis.
  • Standardizing work processes to improve operations and materials and assist in training new operators.
  • Safety initiatives including improvements to the Confined Space and Lock Out-Tag Out programs.
  • Cost reduction:
    Reducing the amount of time and rework caused by line start-ups.
  • Energy conservation projects to reduce factory impact on the environment and identify opportunities for energy savings.
Requirements Education
  • Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Management, Manufacturing, Logistics Management, or another related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 and above preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical skillset for data tracking and results analysis.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate outstanding learning capabilities.
  • Ability to deliver results on challenging assignments.
Additional Requirements
  • Comfortable working with people in various capacities in a factory setting.
  • Able to work any shift, including second or third shift as required throughout program experiences.
  • Open to working in facilities where ambient conditions may be very cold, wet, or warm.
  • Ability to start the program in May 2026.
  • Immersion into a dynamic and collaborative work culture with varied colleagues.
  • Mentorship and professional guidance from experienced leaders.
  • Volunteer in community service opportunities with Nestlé Share Valued Organizations (e.g. Boys & Girls Club of America & Nestlé Adopt-A-School Program).
