Here's a breakdown of what to expect with this program:
Nestle USA's Manufacturing Co-op program is a development experience that provides selected individuals the opportunity to gain real world experience while pursuing their degree and deepen their understanding of manufacturing at Nestle USA.

Whether you are joining the program as a junior or senior, you will receive an exciting introduction to the world of Nestle USA and begin to understand the various departments working in collaboration to make our products. As you further your educational career, you will begin to experience a unique breadth of work assignments within your area of expertise.

Your primary responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Co-op, you will be learning and growing while delivering results for Nestle USA through key projects, systems, and people. Project assignments can provide the opportunity for the Co-Op to demonstrate initiative, work cross-functionally and gain knowledge and skills by recommending organizational actions that focus on cost savings or operational efficiencies. Each Co Op will be expected to complete a value-added project within the program timeframe.

Sample

projects can include:
  • Quality or other process improvement projects using basic problem solving or statistical analysis.
  • Standardizing work processes to improve operations and materials to assist in the training of new operators.
  • Safety initiatives including improvements to the Confined Space and Lock Out-Tag Out programs.
  • Cost Reduction:
    Reducing the amount of time and rework caused by line start-ups.
  • Energy Conservation projects to reduce factory impact on the environment and detect opportunities for energy savings.
Requirements Education
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in Operations, Business Management, Manufacturing, Logistics Management, or another related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 and above preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical skillset for data tracking and results analysis.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate outstanding learning capabilities.
  • Ability to deliver results on challenging assignments.
Additional Requirements:
  • Comfortable working with people in various capacities in a factory setting.
