Overview
NOW HIRING AT THE NEW SPRINGVILLE Clyde Recreation Center!
Under the general direction of the Pool Manager, serves as a lifeguard/swim instructor at the Recreation Center pools.
Duties- Prevents accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules, regulations and ordinances governing the conduct of persons at the pool.
- Enters the water to rescue people in distress; resuscitates rescued swimmers, helps administer first aid to the injured and assists the supervisor during all emergencies.
- Assumes responsibillity for issuance and receipt of all pool equipment.
- Completes other tasks assigned by the pool manager.
- Must be 15 years or older, unless approved by the Aquatics Director.
- Lifeguard training, CPR and First Aid Certificates are needed.
- Must pass swimming tests administered by Inservice and Training Director.
- WSI certification needed.
- Must pass drug screening and background check.
