Material Handler, Forklift Operator
The Warehouse Associate will help maintain flow and efficiency from the start of the pick line to the end of the line. This will be accomplished by helping to pick orders, stock pick line for product and ensure orders are packaged and ready for shipment. This position will operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials, as well as palletizing, wrapping, and sorting orders according to shipping requirements.
Schedule is Monday through Friday 7:15am to 3:45pm
- Stack and wrap pallets according to shipping and quality standards.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment, ensuring all products are accurately packed.
- Operate a forklift and/or hand pallet jack to move, stack, and organize pallets and materials.
- Conduct daily pre-use forklift inspections before operation to ensure the equipment is in safe working condition.
- Scan and verify shipping labels to ensure packaging and order accuracy before shipment.
- Stage outbound orders for carrier pickup, loading trucks as needed.
- Operate tape machines to seal packaged orders and perform light maintenance (e.g., replacing tape rolls, clearing jams, basic cleaning).
- Operate the paper stacking machine in the packing area to maintain efficiency and continuous workflow on the packing line.
- Assist with pick line duties, including picking items and packaging orders.
- Support material handling activities such as restocking, staging, and inventory replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the palletizing and shipping areas.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational guidelines.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
- Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks any other material handling equipment.
- Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on warehouse equipment such as a tape machine.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting and stand for extended periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWork in a warehouse/manufacturing environment which may include loud noise levels, for extended periods of time. Long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors, confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surface environment.
