2D Animator

We are looking for a  talented 2D Game Animator with 3–5 years of experience  creating high-quality animations for games.

You will be responsible for bringing  slot game elements to life through engaging animations , including  symbol animations, reel effects, win celebrations, bonus features, and UI motion . The ideal candidate has strong animation fundamentals and understands how to create  impactful, polished animations that enhance player engagement in slot games .

This role requires someone who can work efficiently in a  fast-paced production environment , collaborate closely with  artists, designers, and developers , and leverage  modern tools and AI-assisted workflows  to speed up production.

Key Responsibilities

Create high-quality 2D animations for slot games, including:

Symbol animations

Reel effects

Win celebrations

Bonus feature animations

UI motion and transitions

Animate slot symbols, characters, and environmental elements
Create impactful reward and feedback animations to enhance gameplay experience
Work with artists to prepare and integrate assets for animation workflows
Export and manage animation-ready assets and animation data
Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and developers to implement animations into the game
Ensure animations are optimized for performance and smooth gameplay
Maintain consistency in animation style and quality
Follow Game Design Documents (GDD) and feature requirements
Utilize AI tools and modern workflows to improve animation efficiency

Required

Skills & Qualifications

3–5 years of professional experience in 2D game animation
Strong portfolio demonstrating game animations
Proficiency with:

Spine 2D

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Photoshop

Strong understanding of animation principles including timing, squash and stretch, anticipation, and impact
Experience animating game UI, symbols, effects, and gameplay elements
Ability to prepare animation-ready assets and animation rigs
Understanding of optimized animation workflows for games
Ability to work within tight deadlines and fast production cycles
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows

Nice to Have

Experience working on slot games or casino-style games
Familiarity with Stake Games engine or similar slot game frameworks

Experience with Spine rigging and animation pipelines
Experience working on live games and feature updates
Knowledge of Blender or other 3D tools
