Summary
We are a small, friendly firm of accountants based in St Albans. Looking for an individual with Excel knowledge to add to our team. with a covering letter. The role involves preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping, using Excel or online software, and preparing accounts for sole traders and Limited companies.
Wage£20,000 a year
HoursMonday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hour for lunch. We offer flexibility on working hours. 37 hours 30 minutes a week.

What you’ll do at work- Preparing VAT returns
- Bookkeeping, using Excel or online software
- Preparing accounts for sole traders and Limited companies
- Basic corporation tax and personal tax returns

- Assistant Accountant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills in Maths and English, if required
- One day a week for the AAT Qualification
- Flexible study method to suit your preference
- Good basic knowledge of accounts and tax
Mathematics (A Level, grade 4 or above). Additional relevant qualifications and industry experience will be considered.
