St Albans Full-Time Permanent £25,000 £ 30,000 DOE

We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected professional services organisation for an enthusiastic Receptionist / Business Administrator to become the face of their St Albans office.
This is far more than a traditional reception role. You'll be the first point of contact for clients while also supporting a range of business functions including administration, HR, events, learning & development and internal projects. The Role You'll play a key part in ensuring the office runs smoothly while delivering an exceptional experience for clients and visitors. Working alongside a friendly, collaborative team, you'll enjoy a varied workload where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities Reception & Front of House
- Welcome clients and visitors with a warm, professional approach
- Answer and direct incoming calls
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are presentation-ready
- Prepare refreshments for client meetings
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, couriers and deliveries
- Organise catering and office supplies
- Maintain visitor logs and assist with office security procedures
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the office
- Diary management and meeting coordination
- Prepare business correspondence and documentation
- Support client onboarding and compliance administration
- Scan, file and maintain confidential documents
- Update internal databases and document management systems
- Assist with HR administration and Learning & Development activities
- Help organise company events, charity initiatives and employee engagement activities
- Support business improvement projects and provide administration across multiple departments
- Friendly, professional and approachable
- Exceptionally organised with great attention to detail
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
- Able to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and happy to take ownership of their work
- A genuine team player who enjoys supporting others
- Passionate about providing outstanding customer service
- Previous experience in reception, administration or customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Professional telephone manner
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with in a professional services environment
- Experience using document management systems
