Senior Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Planned Works – Long Term Partnership Contract
- Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 + Package

Hertfordshire (3 days office / 2 days WFH) - Framework:
Major Housing Association – Planned Works - Regions Covered:
Essex, Norfolk & Cambridgeshire - Travel:
Approx. 1‑2 site/client visits per month
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial ownership of a long‑term Housing Association planned works framework, covering kitchens & bathrooms, roofing, windows & doors, and associated refurbishment and improvement works. This is a multi‑year programme with predictable workflow, strong client engagement and minimal travel requirements. You will be based at the Hertfordshire head office with hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days WFH).
Key Responsibilities- Lead commercial management across planned works projects from procurement to final account
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across the framework
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, variations, and commercial reporting
- Deliver accurate forecasting, cost control, and risk management
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Support continuous improvement across the framework and wider business unit
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within refurbishment, planned works, or social housing
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple work streams
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
- £5,200 car allowance or company vehicle
- Travel to site fully covered
