We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Hertfordshire, working with students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

This is a highly rewarding role for someone who thrives on building positive relationships and making a genuine difference in students’ lives. You’ll play a vital part in creating an inclusive learning environment, supporting students with a range of additional needs and helping them to develop confidence, independence and resilience.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to students with SEN on a one-to-one or small-group basis

• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons

• Support students with academic tasks, emotional regulation and social development

• Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies

• Promote positive behaviour and encourage student wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school experience desirable)

• Is patient, empathetic and adaptable in their approach

• Communicates effectively with students, staff and parents

• Is reliable, proactive and passionate about inclusive education

• Is eager to develop their skills within a supportive school setting
