KS1 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a KS1 Teacher to start working in a fantastic school in the St Albans area! This is a full time position working 5 days and week and to be successful for this role you must be a qualified teacher and have previous teaching experience ideally.

The role is for a full time KS1 Teacher, Monday to Friday 8am - 16:30pm. You will be required to demonstrate good knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum, previous experience of working in KS1 is desirable but not essential.

• Mark and assess pupils' work, and to record their development, progress and attainment, both at school and elsewhere, having regard to the requirements of the national curriculum.
• Maintain good order, discipline and respect for others among pupils; promote understanding of the school's rules and values; safeguard health and safety; and develop relationships with and between pupils conducive to optimum learning.
• Plan and prepare lessons to engage the children with their learning.
• Plan and deliver lessons effectively.
• Be an excellent communicator and have great behaviour management.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in KS1 is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communicator; strong behaviour management skills.
• Child workforce only DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.
• You must be a UK resident or hold a full UK visa and be willing to complete a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
