Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional, Elementary School
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in St Albans.
This role will involve:- Providing in‑class support within a mainstream Year 4 setting.
- Supporting pupils with a range of abilities to access the curriculum.
- Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions in Maths and English.
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
The position is available until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will:- Have previous experience working within KS2, ideally in Year 4.
- Be confident delivering small group and 1:1 interventions.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
- Be proactive, adaptable and committed to supporting pupil progress.
