Position: 2nd in Geography Department
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (Dependent on Experience)
- Teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A Level for the right candidate.
- Supporting the Head of Department in leading the Geography curriculum and departmental improvement.
- Helping to develop innovative schemes of work and high-quality teaching resources.
- Monitoring student progress and supporting strategies that raise attainment across all key stages.
- Coaching and supporting colleagues through collaboration, resource sharing and best practice.
- Delivering engaging lessons that develop geographical enquiry, critical thinking and environmental awareness.
- Promoting fieldwork and enrichment opportunities, including educational visits, competitions and Geography clubs.
- Helping to maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and student engagement.
- Playing an active role in the wider pastoral and extracurricular life of the school.
