Are you looking for a flexible Reception teaching role where you can make a real difference without the demands of full-time planning? We are working with a welcoming Hertfordshire primary school seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team every Friday from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EYFS teacher or an ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a well-supported environment.
The Role- Reception Teacher
- Every Friday (one day per week)
- September start
- Initially until October half term, with the potential for extension following review
- Lessons planned by the full-time class teacher, requiring only minor adaptation where appropriate
- Full-time Teaching Assistant supporting the class
- 30 minutes of PPA included each Friday
- During September, the focus is on settling children into school life, establishing routines and building positive relationships before the full curriculum begins
- Friendly and inclusive primary school in Hertfordshire
- Two-form entry school with a collaborative staff team
- Rated Good by Ofsted, with inspectors recognising the school's nurturing environment, ambitious curriculum and positive relationships
- Well-resourced Early Years environment with excellent indoor and outdoor learning spaces
- Easily accessible from St Albans, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and surrounding areas
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A sound understanding of the EYFS framework
- Experience teaching within Early Years
- A warm, patient and nurturing approach that helps children settle confidently into school life
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with the class teacher to ensure continuity for pupils
- Our support and experience as the primary specialist working in partnership with Herts Education
