About ARU Police Education About the role

ARU is proud to be a key partner in training the next generation of Police Officers. We are currently looking for an Instructor in Police Education to join our delivery team.

You will work with colleagues across our Police Education provision and Police partners. You will be responsible for educating cohorts of Student Police Officers for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP).

This is a vital role focused on the frontline of police education, ensuring that student officers have the academic and practical foundations required for a successful career.

We work with the 7 Forces in the East of England (Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk) and the Metropolitan Police in London.

ARU Direct:
Instructor in Police Education - £34,304 - £39,739 pro rata

Fixed term contract: 12 months

All our instructors need the minimum of a degree, and a demonstrable willingness to work towards a higher degree. Instructors will also need to have professional experience of policing. Knowledge of the PCDA and DHEP is desirable.

Successful candidates will require Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) full clearance.

The ability to travel between police establishments and ARU campuses is required for roles within the ARU Police Education programmes.
