The Role

Teaching: Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3KS5 covering literature language creative writing and analytical skills.
Developing Writers: Help students become confident and articulate writers through structured and imaginative activities.
Literary Exploration: Introduce students to a broad range of novels poetry drama and non-fiction.
Exam Preparation: Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Differentiation: Adapt teaching to support students with different abilities and learning needs.
Wider Opportunities: Contribute to reading clubs literary events competitions and enrichment activities.
Positive Classroom Culture: Create a classroom where students feel confident sharing ideas and opinions.

The Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching experience.
Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Able to inspire students with a genuine enthusiasm for English.
Confident supporting both high-achieving and less confident learners.
Creative organised and committed to student progress.
